This song came on this afternoon in the Perch, and I think for the first time I actually understand it personally. There are certain people I miss so much (even if it has only been a few days), and I would kill for “this song to guide [them] home.” Things are getting better, and I’m trying to come around, but I’m so homesick. No surprise. But hearing this just kind of put me at ease for a few minutes. I have so many good memories attached to the original version that it’s hard for me to separate the two.
I just found sand in my headphones. I wish I were going to the beach this weekend! I miss Wildwood.
